Brooks Analytics LLC ("Brooks Analytics," "we," "us") builds business intelligence dashboards for small businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website (brooksanalytic.com), our client dashboards, and our data connector applications, including Brooks Connect, our integration with QuickBooks Online.
Information you give us. When you contact us or become a client we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and billing details.
Business data from connected services. With your authorization, we connect to the business tools you already use (for example QuickBooks Online, Square, Shopify, Stripe, or spreadsheets) and retrieve the data needed to build your dashboards. For QuickBooks Online this includes company information, chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, invoices, payments, sales receipts, bills, purchases, journal entries, deposits, and financial reports such as profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and aging reports. This data may include names and contact details of your customers and vendors.
Authorization tokens. When you connect a service through OAuth, we receive access and refresh tokens that let us retrieve your data. We never see or store your login password for that service.
Usage information. We collect standard technical information when you use our dashboards, such as login times, browser type, and pages viewed, to keep the service secure and working properly.
We use your data only to provide services to you. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use one client's data to benefit another client.
Our connectors request read-only access wherever the connected service allows it. Brooks Connect uses the QuickBooks Online Accounting scope to read data; it does not create, edit, or delete records in your QuickBooks company.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of financial data and review them regularly.
We use a small number of third-party providers to operate our services, such as cloud hosting, database hosting, and email. These providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not share your data with any other third party except when required by law or with your explicit direction.
Brooks Connect accesses QuickBooks Online through Intuit's developer platform under Intuit's terms. Your use of QuickBooks itself is governed by Intuit's own privacy policy. Intuit is not responsible for our services, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit. You may disconnect Brooks Connect at any time from within QuickBooks Online or by contacting us; see section 8.
We retain your business data for as long as you are an active client so that dashboards can show historical trends. When your engagement ends, or on request, we delete authorization tokens immediately and delete your business data within 30 days, except for records we must keep to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or aggregate information that no longer identifies you or your customers.
Contact ryan@brooksanalytic.com for any of these requests. We respond within 30 days.
Business data you connect may include personal information about your own customers, vendors, or employees. You are responsible for having the right to share that information with us. We process it only on your behalf and under this policy.
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised effective date and, for material changes, notify active clients by email.
